Privacy Policy

TherapyFind is a directory that helps you find therapy providers. This policy explains what information we collect and what we do with it — in plain language.
What we collect
- Searches you run. When you search by city, ZIP, or specialty, we process that search to show results. We don't tie searches to your identity unless you're signed in.
- Account information. Your name, email address, and password (stored as a one-way hash — we never see your actual password).
- Saved providers and reminders. The providers you save and the reminders you set, so we can show them back to you.
- Practice information. Public provider data from the national provider registry (NPI), plus anything a practice adds to a Premium profile.
What we don't collect
We don't collect health information about you, diagnoses, or treatment details. We're a directory — we help you find providers, we don't provide care. We never sell your personal information.
How we use it
- To run the site: search, saved lists, and reminders.
- To reply when you email us at admin@therapyfind.org.
- To process Premium subscriptions (payments are handled by our payment processor; we don't store card numbers).
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics cookies.
Third-party services
We use a small number of trusted services to run the site: our payment processor handles Premium subscription payments (we never see or store your card number), and our email provider sends account emails like password resets. These services only receive the information they need to do their job.
Children's privacy
TherapyFind is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you're a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal information, email admin@therapyfind.org and we'll delete it.
Data retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we're required to keep records for legal or tax purposes.
Your choices
- You can browse and search without an account.
- You can delete saved providers and reminders at any time.
- You can ask us to delete your account entirely by emailing admin@therapyfind.org.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the effective date above and note the change here.
